Does HealthStrong bulk bill? If not, can I still claim the service through Medicare?

Where you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously Enhanced Primary Care Plan), you may be eligible for Medicare to fund part of our fees. You will need to pay the full fee upfront and we will help you claim your rebate from Medicare. Unfortunately, we do not offer bulk billing, but if you are eligible, we can help you claim your rebate on the spot from Medicare.

Can I claim the services through my private health insurance?

Please check with your private health fund to see if you have eligible extras cover. If you are able to claim, we have HICAPS available to claim towards your treatment on the spot.

Can I book a service in one of your clinics?

We only offer mobile services – delivering the treatment in your home is our focus.

Are your practitioners qualified?

All our practitioners are fully qualified and registered to deliver allied health services. See our clinical governance page for more detail.

Are you a Medibank Member’s Choice provider?

Alternatively, we also accept private paying patients without private health insurance. Please contact us to enquire about our rates.

Can you come on the weekend to see me?

We take appointments Monday to Friday only (except public holidays). We do offer some extended treatment hours. Please get in touch to find out what they are in your area.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to access our services, unless you are a DVA Gold cardholder or eligible for a Medicare rebate. Speak to your GP to find out if you qualify.

Do you offer remedial or relaxation massage?

No, we do not offer remedial or relaxation massage in the home. Our practitioners may undertake manual therapies as part of your treatment plan, where appropriate.

Can you give me an invoice so that I can claim from my health fund?

Yes, we can. Alternatively, we have HICAPS available so we can process a claim to your private health insurer on the spot.

Will I get a male or female practitioner? Can I request a male or female practitioner?

We have a range of male and female allied health practitioners and will always do our best to deliver on your request. However, where you live may limit the practitioners we have available. Contact us to discuss what practitioners may be available in your area.

Will I have the same practitioner?

For continuity of care, we try to ensure you have the same practitioner throughout your treatment program. However, sometimes due to leave, your care requirements or other factors, we may need to change your practitioners. We will always discuss this with you ahead of time.

Who do I call if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Call us on 1300 660 086 to reschedule or cancel your appointments. Please note a cancellation/reschedule fee will be applicable if you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your planned appointment. We will send you reminders ahead of time to ensure you’re given enough notice to change if required.

Do I need to wear a mask?

HealthStrong takes the health, safety and wellbeing of all team members, patients and their families extremely seriously. In this pandemic environment, we acknowledge that additional precautions are required, which may include the wearing of masks. At all times, we will be guided by the public health directives of each state or territory, and will let you know whether you need to wear a mask ahead of your appointment.

How do I know what time you will be here?

We will provide you with an approximate window of time that your practitioner will arrive and how long they are expected to be with you. As you can appreciate, traffic, parking and other factors can impact our planned arrival time so we will do our best to keep you updated if there will be any significant delays in our arrival.

How do I access a Home Care Package (HCP)?

To access a HCP, you need to undergo an assessment. For more information about HCP and assessments, please visit
